The Calgary Flames have re-signed forward Sam Bennett to a two-year $5.1 million deal. The Flames signed Bennett ahead of his arbitration hearing scheduled July 27.
Bennett’s AAV will be $2.55 million for the next two seasons.
The 23-year-old forward had 13 goals and 14 assists in 71 games last season and led the team with 93 penalty minutes.
He has six goals and five assists in 20 playoff games.
Bennett has 55 goals and 61 assists in 312 NHL games. He has played in fives seasons with Calgary since the Flames drafted him in 2014.
